Cherry was at her most happiest, wearing her denim waistcoat and playing with found cardboard, a scalpel and her tool kit. With these few things, there was no end to what she could create.

So it was fitting that when she prematurely left his earthly coil, she was enveloped in a cardboard coffin, and dressed the same way.

It has taken me over a year to muster the strength and peek inside her portable studio.

There is a lot there to peek into.

Paintings from solo and joint exhibitions in Spain, our adopted country, as well as her sketchbooks, folded craft work, and the delicate, unique series of artists books she had been working on for the previous 10 years..

I am hoping, as my courage and strength returns, I will record those phases of work here, not just to share her (wild) wide and productive library, but in the hope that some of these works will find the right home.
